A room-structured church with late-Romantic and Gothic parts as well as a Baroque-
high altar. There is a painting showing Christ with 12 sleeping apostles on the Mount of Olives and a pictured column for the nine virgins on the outside of the church.

Tengen

A small room-constructed church converted into baroque style in the 18th century. It originated from the former castle chapel which was the first time mentioned in a document in the 14th century; it has a completely preserved décor in the baroque style - inter alia a reredos of C. Bieg (18th century).

Tengen-Beuren am Ried

Catholic daughter church St Wendelin

The church consecrated in 1961 has a figure of the holy Wendelin from Paul Herr, Singen and Protection-coat-Madonna from Wolfgang Kleiser, Hammereisenbach.

Tengen-Blumenfeld

today's new-Gothic church with apse-halls was built including the Romanesque Western tower. There is partly Art Nouveau inside the building. In 1100 the original church was mentioned in a document for the first time. Architect Jeblinger of the Archiepiscopal planning department and building control office of Constance built this church (he is also the client of the Archiepiscopal bishopric in Freiburg).

Tengen-Büßlingen

Catholic parish church St Martin

St Martin is a new-Romanesque church - built in 1895 - with a North-eastern-tower, old in its foundations. It has inter alia a pulpit with inlaid work of ca. 1750. In 1100 the parish was mentioned the first time.

Tengen-Uttenhofen

This chapel was built in 1711; it has a Baroque-altar, a Holy Family and the stations of the cross in verre églomisé picture of ca. 1800.

Tengen-Watterdingen

This church was first mentioned in a document in the 13th century. It had often been converted; today it shows mainly Rococo. The mighty church hides inter alia a Gothic vespers-picture (around 1380).

Tengen-Weil

This chapel was converted around 1600; it has an early-Baroque altar and a Virgin Mary with Child of ca. 1700; the truss dated ca. 1650.

Tengen-Wiechs am Randen

The parish was the first time mentioned in a document in1275.
Today's church which was built in new-classical style by J. Hitzel in 1922/23 hides a crucifix from ca. 1750.

There was a fire in 1911; its remnants are today's cemetery chapel.
On 1459 May 4th Pope Pius bestowed a letter of indulgence upon Verena Church in Kirchstetten . For a certain time it had presumably been a place of pilgrimage then
